How to order medication: repeat prescriptions and new medication

Repeat Prescriptions
The best way to order repeat medication is via the NHS App – the request is delivered directly into our clinical system and speeds up processing.
Pharmacies can also request medication directly on your behalf.
Requests via email or paper need to be manually transcribed and can cause delay to the prescribing process.
We advise 3 working days for prescription requests.

New Medication
Medications that are not already on your medical record will need to be authorised by a clinician.
