The Nelson Medical Practice opened in April 2015 and is the largest practice in the Merton area. We are a teaching and training practice with over 28,300 patients and are located within the Nelson Health Centre.

The practice is open from 8:00am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday and also offers a range of extended hours including early mornings, evenings and Saturday mornings.

Salaried Posts

We are recruiting for GPs to join our friendly practice in Merton and have both permanent positions available as well as a fixed term available to cover maternity leave.

We are passionate about providing high quality patient-centred holistic care to our 28,500 patients from our state of the art premises with diagnostics, therapies & outpatients on site.

We offer Clinical teams with dedicated admin support from Care Coordinators, a named mentor & support from a Clinical Director, protected admin time, opportunities to develop your interests (teaching, training, specialist clinical areas), great coffee (Nespresso coffee machines!) & practice social events.

We expect our Doctors to be dedicated, flexible, viewing their career as a vocation, take responsibility for a list of patients as part of a team.

Same Day Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP)

We are recruiting for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join the Same Day Team within our practice.

Paramedic Practitioner

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Advanced Paramedic Practitioner to come and join our multi-disciplinary team. The role will provide a specialist Advanced Paramedic resource for health care professionals and service users, working in collaboration with other members of the Multidisciplinary Practice Team.

We are passionate about providing high quality multi-disciplinary patient-centred holistic care to our 28,500 patients from our state of the art premises. The practice is dedicated to enhancing patient care and improving the health of the local population.

The Advanced Paramedic Practitioner will work within the practice and community, as an autonomous, accountable Practitioner, in the provision of a holistic approach for individuals including assessment, diagnosis and treatment, to deliver quality patient services. The post holder will assess, diagnose, treat, refer or signpost patients/service users who attend surgery with undifferentiated or undiagnosed condition relating to minor illness or minor injury as well as use advanced clinical skills to provide education to service users, promoting self-care and empower them to make informed choices about their treatment.

Administrator

We are seeking someone to join our friendly administration team. The position is part time and for 20-25 hours per week and involves a mixture of mornings and afternoons. This role does involve patient contact mainly on the telephone and good IT skills are essential.

We currently have a vacancy for a part time records clerk. This position is for 12 hours per week and we have some flexibility with regards to the structure of the hours which could be worked over either 2 or 3 days per week.
