Mental Health

  • Merton IAPT – An NHS service for treating people with depression and anxiety disorders. This service offers evidence-based psychological therapies as recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE)
  • South West London Recovery Cafes – South West London and St George’s Mental Health Trust have commissioned two Recovery Cafes for residents in South West London.They offer safe, inclusive and welcoming spaces for people who are struggling to cope with their mental health during the evening and weekends when other services may be closed.
  • Bereavement Services – Provide support and counselling for bereaved people who live and work in the London Borough of Merton.
  • Think Action – Offers a wide range of treatments and talking therapies that will support you to understand and manage your mental health problem.

  • Continence Service – Offers care to adults over the age of 16 with continence issues. Please only self refer if previously known to the team.

One You Merton

  • One You Merton – Friendly local support to help you eat well, move more, stop smoking or drink less.

Children and Young People

  • Jigsaw4U  – Helping children and young people put the pieces back together
  • Alive ‘N’ Kicking – Offering advice on weight management for children and young people.
  • Health Matters Digital Hub – Get advice and support online for parents of children and young people or if you are a young person yourself (including health promotion, growth and development monitoring, breast-feeding support and health with behavioural issues).
  • Health Visiting – Promoting health for 0-4 year olds – online tool for parents to ask health visitors a question.
  • School Nursing – Promoting health to school age children – online tool to ask a school nurse a question.
  • Talk off the record – A free, confidential support service for young people aged 11-18, offering online and face-to-face counselling, drop-in sessions and online workshops. Young people aged 14-18 can self-refer via phone (020 8680 8899), email (merton@talkofftherecord.org) or drop in (Thursdays 3.30-5.30 at Wandle Valley Resource Centre, Church Road, Mitcham, CR4 3FA). Those aged 11-13 will need a referral by a professional.
  • YoungMinds – UK charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people.
  • Young Merton – Signposts young people to help and wellbeing services.
